School Building

This School has four storeyed building. The Junior School has about 20 classrooms, a Library, a Dance Room, an Art Room, a Music Room, an special Multimedia Computer Lab, an open ampitheatre, playing area, staff room and recreational space for the children. A separate wing has been created for Playgroup and K.G. children with provision for toy room, dinning room and rest rooms, besides the classrooms. The environment is not only congenial but educationally stimulating.

The Senior School has 30 classrooms with spacious and well equipped labs for Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Home Science, Music rooms, Dance rooms, Art room and a multipurpose hall on the top floor. The School also has an excellent Library, an Audio Visual room, a teacher's resource center, Art & Craft & SUPW rooms.

Faculty

With the fast developing knowledge in every field, introduction of new education standards, more availability of modern teaching aids and rapid changes in the social scenario, it has become imperative for teachers to upgrade their skills and knowledge at all times to be able to deliver quality education.

Under the aegis of the MIS Society, MIS Kathmandu selects all teachers via a rigorous process. MIS Kathmandu considers all its teachers as important assets in its goal of excelling in all matters of education. The teachers are well-trained educators and highly motivated.

In addition, internal programs allow for integration of teaching techniques within the MIS family through exchange programs, and regular and motivational workshops keep the fire alive.

The School Office

The Modern Indian School administrative office is located on the ground floor and is open from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM to assist the students and parents. No school business will be transacted on holidays. No student should frequent the office without any purpose.

Telephone: Students may have access to the telephone in emergency only. These calls may be made on a payment of Rs. 4/- per call. Calls should be brief.

The office of the Principal is located on the first floor. The usual visiting hours, for official purposes are between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM by prior appointment.
